This would be a big mistake and would increase the likelihood of that tooth becoming decayed and eventually needing root canal treatment or even extraction.
When a tooth is shaped for a crown, then the protective outer layer of dental enamel has to be ground away to create sufficient room for the crown. Once dental enamel is removed, then the tooth will always need to be covered up to protect it from bacteria in the mouth.
Dental crowns are designed to form a tight seal around the margin of the tooth. If this seal is broken, or if the crown is removed, then bacteria will be able to attack the unprotected tooth. Why take this risk? It is far better to have loose dental crowns correctly sorted out by your dentist than to have to deal with the consequences of losing a tooth.

Most users experience no negative reaction, others are not so lucky. Due to quick setting times, mistakes are easy to make with standard super glue, such as setting a tooth in the wrong position or gluing your inner cheek, tongue or finger to the tooth. Dentin tubules are hollow canals in the dentin that carry sensations from the outside of the tooth to the inside.
The tubules transmit hot and cold sensation. Sticky substances such as glue can damage the tubules and cells inside the tooth, causing discomfort and pain. Less hazardous forms of cyanoacrylates have been developed for medical use. Most of these are too weak and flexible for use on teeth. The exception is Periacryl, which is designed specifically as a non toxic super glue for teeth.
It is, however, difficult to procure. Veterinary glue is a much more available, budget alternative, which some outdoorsmen and preppers keep in their first-aid kits. Once you've made an attempt and it is glued, the tooth will not be fixable in the future without major work.
If you try to super glue in a tooth with your dentures and don't get it exactly in the correct position, you may need an entirely new denture. If you break your tooth or your dentures, do yourself a favor and let your dentist handle the repairs.
Refrain from taking on a DIY project with super glue, as you'll likely encounter even more problems. Contact our office to set up an appointment.
